August 2011 to present: Activities Assistant, Hallworth House Extended Care, Providence.

September 2010 to August 2011: Museum Educator, Americorps Volunteer, Providence Children’s Museum. Developed and presented activities to pre-school children at 7 Children’s Friend Head Start Centers. Served as Play Guide for children and caregivers. Worked on teams planning and executing museum events, such as Family Nights and holiday programs.

June 2009 to April 2010: Activities Coordinator, Cornerstone Adult Day Center, Warwick. Planned and implemented daily activities for 35 participants with Alzheimer’s type dementia.

August 2008 to April 2009: Resident Program Manager (Activities), West Bay Manor. Planned and orchestrated daily activities for 135 residents of a retirement community in Warwick, Rhode Island, for seniors living independently, as well as those needing some assistance or full time care due to dementia. Supervised two assistants.

March 2006 to May 2008: Health Educator, Peace Corps, Morocco. Developed and taught health lessons in clinics, schools, on home visits and in the marketplace to men, women and children in rural communities in southern Morocco. Prepared grants with Moroccan counterparts and implemented two projects for latrine construction, trash disposal and hygiene education.
