Gobelin woven tapestry

Deb was the driver of a truck I rode across the Sahara Desert in 1971 after completing two years with the Peace Corps in Togo, West Africa. The truck was loaded with grain, European travelers and sub-Saharan Africans heading north to find work. For five days, Deb drove us from marker to marker that he knew from 40 years of crossing the shifting desert sands and rocky landscape of his native Algeria.
